Drive-line clunk came back six months after having the rear end rebuilt and new u-joints. Apparently those weren't the problem. Just got in from pulling the driveshaft and applying copious amounts of Lucas Red & Tacky to the slip yoke. Think I know my problem. There was no more grease in there, but what looked like some oil at the very back. I have a slow rear main leak and I suppose oil is running down the bottom of the trans into the slip yoke and deteriorating the grease. It didn't look like trans fluid but next time I grease it, I might replace those seals on the tail-shaft.

Don't want to pull the trans just for the rear main as it is pretty slow...but also don't want my trans to grenade any time soon.

The light gray (pewter, code 921/922) is medium dk pewter and very dk pewter). The medium is #17163.
thanks I was looking for the color coat for the dash & trim, I looked up and found 15813 which looks right, but at the store I screwed up the numbers and bought 15183 which is far too light, so I just ordered the right number, the 17163 is for the leather/vinyl (classic coat)

They are not all that common where I'm from

it was ordered by a local town for the DPW, seems they never picked it up, so i bought it. they all use green trucks.

so i dont see em to often here either, other then the towns trucks. this was one bad ass truck. towed my 4,000 lb boat like nothing was back there, plowed snow like a boss too. this pic is after 5 years of using it for a roofing job i had, it used to get 3,000 miles a month put on it. being it was mine, and i was the only one working in and out of it. it stayed really nice looking this pic has to be from 08-09. kinda wish i didnt sell it off. but that job went in the ******* and i was pretty tired of plowing snow. and gas was like 5 a gallon at the time too. so a dropping a 20 in it was like nothing to that 34 gallon tank. she does have a two inch lift and 33's. sold it to a used car dealership, so i wonder where she wound up? id love to see how good or bad she looks today.
