It looks better than not shaved, but still looks out of place. It LOOKS shaved rather than just being subtle about it, like it's accentuating that it was shaved. The point of shaving something is to make it blend in but that just screams "look at me and me only, never mind the rest of the motor".
I think some smooth valve covers or milling on the manifold to match the valve covers would help. But the manifold is still too curvy/bubbly whereas the rest of the engine that it compares to, particularly the valve covers, has more defined edges and straight lines. It just has too many clashing aspects.
Just quit trying to make the stock intake look good, and put in something that looks GREAT when it screams "look at me". Like I did with this...best looking intake EVER!
