What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It looks better than not shaved, but still looks out of place. It LOOKS shaved rather than just being subtle about it, like it's accentuating that it was shaved. The point of shaving something is to make it blend in but that just screams "look at me and me only, never mind the rest of the motor".

I think some smooth valve covers or milling on the manifold to match the valve covers would help. But the manifold is still too curvy/bubbly whereas the rest of the engine that it compares to, particularly the valve covers, has more defined edges and straight lines. It just has too many clashing aspects.

Just quit trying to make the stock intake look good, and put in something that looks GREAT when it screams "look at me". Like I did with this...best looking intake EVER!

Gave my Yukon ( and all vehicles ) their annual bar and chain oil/diesel fuel frame bath.

Also installed new gauge cluster w/ tranny temp gauge.

Works fine except for one problem : the fuel gauge needle is pegged way beyond "full". Googling says that issue might correct itself after a few ignition-ons. Anyone know if that is true ?

Otherwise, it goes back to ebay seller for exchange.

Naaaah. Them left-to-right ribs totally clash with the front-to-back channels on the valve covers. 0/10 would not smash.






















...Or do what's in my time and monetary budget: Close the hood and walk away.

I agree. If it was painted black I think it would look better. Maybe put the vortec logo on it or something... idk

*Flat black so it looked more like a stock, factory molded manifold.

Yeah, mine from Digital Dash Solutions does the same thing. It shows way over full and after around 1/8 tank, it drops down where it should be. It annoys me, but got used to it pretty quick. I didn’t want to send it back and wait for another one. He offered, but I decided to just keep it.

You can pull the face off it and move the needle. Just have to follow online instructions so you don’t move it too much.

Mine are LT load range E. Only had them on for a quick spin last night and the ride to work this morning. They will get put to the test shortly as winter is upon us.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the APT? Here are the ATX sizes:
