I tried that... kinda. I tried using the truck frame while it was on stands. The jack was at a bit of an angle and I wasn't comfortable with how much the tire was getting deformed. Too bad there's not a Harbor Freight (aka reasonably priced) bead breaker.

I'll try your method out if I need to do it again before I sell it.

Nice. I was looking at those. Good to know they come with the brackets! [emoji16][emoji106]
I simply ordered new calipers pads and rotors. Everything you need should be included. There is really no reason not to do this at this point unless you already have brand new brake hardware. Its plug and play. They are noticeably bigger behind the wheels. I cant tell you there is a substantial noticable performance improvement but the brakes have performed great in a panic stop or two. Edit: actually I take that back. I've flogged it in the mountains heavily loaded around tahoe and Santa Cruz. Less fade. Some of that is pad for sure but bigger rotors and more pad surface must help.

Awesome. Thanks for the details on first hand experience with it. [emoji16][emoji106]

Got a few things done over the weekend. Installed my radar detector hardwire kit and mirror mount and put these signal mirrors on. I wish they had puddle lights, but they were free from one of my friends who put tow mirrors on his Duramax so I cant compain. Also finally remembered to take a picture of the truck with the running boards dyed. Just used the same black plastic dye I used on the bumpers. Really impressed with the stuff so far! We will see how it ages...
