Do you all prefer Auto zone? In my area they seem to actually have stuff I need in stock as well as better customer service compared to Advanced or Napa.

I hit up autozone the most because they are closer to me and have more stores in town than anyone else and generally are cheaper, but o'reillys usually offers a lifetime warranty on there parts also and carquest does also but there is only 2 o'reilly and 1 carquest in town and both are far on the other side of town I can hit 3 autozones before reaching the other 2
then there is pep boys but gahhhhh no! unless there the only place that has it

I use Oreillys since they built a new store close to me. The people working there are heads and shoulders above the Autozone clowns. In actuality, I use Amazon Prime almost exclusively, Rock Auto occasionally, eBay seldom and mostly for used parts, and Oreillys as a last resort mostly for basic supplies I need that day or loaner tools.

Pretty much ditto what Rocket Man said.

What I will NOT buy from AutoZone is any house brand electrical parts. Really, this applies to pretty much any parts store unless I know their aftermarket parts are good quality. Some are relabeled or reboxed top brand parts. Also, they seem to hire anyone that can run a computer and register even if they have no automotive knowledge. The people at O'Reillys all seem to have some level of pertinent knowledge which helps me skip the "year, make and model" dance when it doesn't apply to me. Napa is almost always over-priced, but they're great for the odd, hard-to-find parts. Other than all that, I'm gonna go where the parts are in stock, depending on how soon or badly I need them.

I have quite a few different autoparts stores around me..... AutoZone is very close, and I get cleaning stuff, etc.... The Reilly's is not too far away and I prefer them for everything else.... and the people there are car guys / ex mechanics. ( "retired" )
For serious OEM parts I use 'The Parts House".... Great place for factory A/C stuff & engine.

man, i could walk to about 5 auto parts stores here. carquest is pretty much advanced auto too. they should do the buy on line and pick up in 30 minutes, you can get some nice discount codes and save some money that way, use that when im in need of a part asap. but i still do my shopping around, ra tends to come out cheapest a lot.

X2 Autozone is at the bottom of the list. Advance Auto, Oreillys, or Napa. Autozone if necessary.
