Well, he's a college kid that doesn't know much about cars. He wasn't sure how to get to the sub and I basically showed him how to remove the rear trim pieces to access the panelsThe helping part lol.

Great sub and price, did the same to the hoe a few years back. Used on the stock amp, but I needed a little more kick so I did the bypass and ran my own amp to the planet sub. Let me tell you, this ******* sub bumps and I'm only using a Dual 600 watt amp for it.Helped my son replace the factory rear 8" subwoofer.
The radio has had no bass to it for a while. I told him it's either the amp (behind glovebox) is bad or the sub. He bought a new sub (Planet Audio 8" dual voice coil, ~$35).
The factory sub's surround was totally disintegrated except for a small section. The new one, after wiring the voice coils in parallel with jumper wires, fit great (had to drill new mounting holes though) and sounds great.
I actually did all the work, he just held the light and handed me tools...lol
Surprised you didn't need to cut that metal bracket behind the radio. I had to.View attachment 249456 it works.
Kind of.
Steering wheel buttons stil need programming. View attachment 249457 View attachment 249458 also I have to add washers so it sticks out from the bezel. I might add weather striping foam around the trim to hide the brackets u see her .
No cutting at all, just needs new mounting holes. Unplug old sub and plug in new sub, that's it.Was the that sub able to be placed straight in or was some cutting involved? Minus the new mounting holes!
