Yep it’s the rear I’m questioning. My bad, running on a few hours of sleep. I don’t want to buy the entire assembly just the rear cover. If I HAVE to replace the “reinforcement bar” I will.

I’m going to try a similar method. Also bought the stick-on window tape mount. Not sure if I’ll use that or not..
I tried that same stick-on one a few years ago on the rear side glass, kind of like the Escalade. Didn't get very good reception so I booted it. Then I took some 32 gauge magnet wire and tucked it under the rubber trim up the passenger side of the windshield and then all the way across the top of the windshield. I attached an eyelet connector to the wire and used a nut to attach it to the post. It's not as good as the mast, but it gets decent AM and FM reception.
