No. Actually rubbed a little where the tape had failed on the edges. Same story on the roof where my old rails were. Overall in pretty good shape. Considering every panel on her has rock chips, it just goes along with the theme. [emoji23][emoji1787]
Have you tried compound and buff? Depending how bad, it might get the majority of the rubbing out.

Yes that’s what I had my paint guy do. He painted my mirror caps, and Esky rail caps. When I pulled the rack off earlier, I saw the state of the paint underneath. It’s not terrible, but I’m glad I had him do the cleaning & buffing, I’m sure I would’ve got frustrated and likely hit a corner and really screwed it up or something. Dude did a lot of work on it. (Under the rails, and the vent shades)

Thanks Tony! Me too. Though I considered leaving them off.. she looks a lot cleaner without them at all.. I do like the deflectors though. Planning to get rid of the logo sometime soon.
But damn those old ones messed up the paint in a couple spots too, they were on so long.
I took mine off for one summer and liked the way it looked without them so I tried it for a winter, and didn’t miss them so I left them off.

What did I do today to the dirty hoe...…. change the oil and filter then proceeded to look at the rust all down my (bottom) rockers , to my horror after poking it a little found a @#$%& hole in front of the driver side rear tire. I am not living in dreamland but dang I know she had some rust but geez. Over all I still like the truck just a giant kick in the gentleman area. I guess that's an excuse to keep my eyes pealed for a new one.
