Did this today...

But for some reason, couldn’t get it to close right on the driver side...

Sits up higher when I get it to close with just the latch holding it down. When I close all the way down, it really shows. I’m not body guy for sure, but I do think something is very wrong with how it’s closing. Seems like it needs some more aligning. Passenger side lines up fine. Driver’s side, not so much. I’m not sure where or how to adjust it. Didn’t want to have to take it to body shop until time to paint it. Advice is certainly appreciated!

I’m a little late to this conversation, but it looks like you have mismatched gaps on your light housings line up with your front fenders and how your front bumper lines up with your fenders. Has your vehicle been in an accident before? Whatever is going on there might make it very difficult to get your hood to line up properly.

Better late than never. I’ve not had an accident but who knows before I got it though.

$3, but I'm cheap and a little bit ghetto. My luck, the cover would dry rot, split and get flung off. It'd hit something and make a noise that would freak me out and have me anxious cuz I'd never find what made the noise.
You worry too much. Relax. ;) And if $3 isn’t cheap enough for somebody that’s cheap, I don’t know what to say. See my previous post lmao. ^^^

Yessir. Thank you!
So Do I. Are they 17"?

Would you stop please posting picture of your marvelous truck? I'm jealous and I think my Hoe is suspecting something. :Big Laugh:

Nice job!
Good timing here also. I wanna ask the forum about those deflectors. Are the in-channel better? Which brands are yours?

Hehehehe. Thanks for the compliments.

Yes, I had the stick on deflectors before. They had been on there a LONG time. These are the AVS in-channel: Auto Ventshade 194304 In-Channel Ventvisor Side Window Deflector, 4-Piece Set for 2002-2006 Cadillac Escalade, 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe/GMC Yukon, 2001-2006 Yukon Denali https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CF6HYQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_.CHzFbXEKGCNK

they are 18 inch off the 1500 trucks I believe.

That is one super clean ride!
Thank you!

I like the in channels so much better. She's looking purty.

Thanks Tony! Me too. Though I considered leaving them off.. she looks a lot cleaner without them at all.. I do like the deflectors though. Planning to get rid of the logo sometime soon.
But damn those old ones messed up the paint in a couple spots too, they were on so long.

Did they take the clear off? That'll happen sometimes.

No. Actually rubbed a little where the tape had failed on the edges. Same story on the roof where my old rails were. Overall in pretty good shape. Considering every panel on her has rock chips, it just goes along with the theme. [emoji23][emoji1787]
