What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

You can sand it first, then apply it and then hit it with some color matched paint and then clear. It might not look too bad. But your rust is probably coming from the backside anyway so you need to get to it from the back.

I sprayed the lower door sills--the corners of the running boards are rubbing against them--causing those rust spots. So thankfully those spots aren't coming from behind. I only saw those spots when it was on a lift last year. It's so tight I really can't get in there to sand it.

Sorry but in the Q & A’s they say it can’t be sanded or you’ll ruin the protection and expose the rust that’s been encapsulated. Also it says it turns grey in the Q & A’s not black so I guess it’s supposed to look like that. Uggh.

Yes thats true, when it change color it somehow "converted rust", but dont sand it, dont ask me how I know(I will k*ll my little brother ).

It's still white-ish. Looks like a$$.

I use loctite or teroson stuff, and it then came black or purple. You can see on plain steel without rust, no color change.

might try POR15 or Rustoleum rust converters

i also like Krylon one.... sprays clear & turns black

Rustoleum or POR is fine for fence. In a car/truck/suv for frame. Not for for silky smooth paintwork, or sheet metal
