Got the new valve body and wiring harness back into the 4L60E. Went to take her for a test drive to get the trans temp up to check for P1870 code/symptoms. Test drive didn't last long - noticed rotational noise coming from both front wheels that increased with speed and turning. My first thought was wheel bearings, but I replaced those less than 500 miles back.

Question - can bad front axles give the same symptoms as wheel bearings ? It's not the brakes, the sound doesn't stop when applying them.

If I decide to replace them, what is the best brand to go with ?
