Amen to that, been there done that and it kicked my ass, I so so regretted sending my original to core heavenWhich gearbox did you go with? OEM? Who rebuilt it? I hear used/rebuilt is a gamble.
I tried the redheads, they were way to tight which I never thought could be possible but the ride was dangerously squirrelly, and had no return to center. Warrantied the box and the next one was damn near the same. Tried 2 gm oem reman’s and both had excessive play in 4,000 miles give or take. Ended up with a used oem from LKQ for $80 shipped with 91,000 on it and was the most tolerableThe best gear boxes are the redhead or blue top, the autopart store gearboxes are a hit and miss. They only replace the seals and they almost never replace the worn out wears.

Do you think it could do all 4 tires on 1 charge? Sux they only give you 1 battery.i picked this one up. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08516T3NB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 also got a air gun, but changing tires at the track by hand has gotten very old. charged it up and it ripped a couple lug lug nuts off the work trailer pretty good.
These are the exact complaints I've heard about aftermarket and remanufactured boxes.I tried the redheads, they were way to tight which I never thought could be possible but the ride was dangerously squirrelly, and had no return to center. video of my steering box play with the gm reman...replaced by a Chevy dealer so I would be able to warranty them as much as possible knowing how they sucked and didn’t wanna do the labor a bunch of times
we gonna find out tomorrow. plan to rotate the tires and take a look at my brakes. the better, aka more expensive brands seem to last a long ass time, so lets hope this one has the same longevity.Do you think it could do all 4 tires on 1 charge? Sux they only give you 1 battery.
Yep they are not a myth, rock auto currently has a few listed under new which I have been wanting to try but this damn hoe has sucked enough money out of me already n tired of beating a dead horse lolThese are the exact complaints I've heard about aftermarket and remanufactured boxes.
I'm getting to this point with both of my vehicles!!this damn hoe has sucked enough money out of me already n tired of beating a dead horse lol
I went with a Reman unit from AZ... The supplier is BBB industries and they arent in the business of supplying junk to all the parts houses. Everyone touting those redhead steering gears and the blue tops, but I found as much negative reviews on their products. My unit been on since Early this year and I havent had a single issue, leak, noise or squeal. That mofo was heavy as heck installing it with one hand while hand starting the bolts with the other.Which gearbox did you go with? OEM? Who rebuilt it? I hear used/rebuilt is a gamble.
