Decided to change the condenser, a/c would blow colder when driving. I had one I ordered last year for the Tahoe but the A/C started working fine - go figure. Went to install it and it is way bigger than the old one and no way could I connect the bottom line, its too long. Ordered another one and it's same size - Either I messed up measuring, reading my measurements or translating from MM to inches and looking at a gazillion ones on rockauto I ended up getting one too big again!
Thankfully I decided to order the tubing that has the low pressure port since the threads were a little messed up and it cost $25 bucks or so but you had to get the whole line. After looking at the new line my theory is someone replaced the condenser with a used one from a non rear a/c and replaced the line (I'm assuming a non rear ac has smaller condenser). The new line elbow is way shorter.
The reason I think it was used was when I got the Denali it had a sparkplug wire 4 feet long all zip tied up (No joke). My theory is the PO was taking it to a mechanic who has a junk yard out back and he was using old parts to save $$
