Seriously thinking about doing this mod. Concerned what type of paint fading I might have on my 2002 Tahoe after I remove the molding.
Yeah I thought about that as well but I just love the fresh look. Also the point Sam Harris made was already stuck in my head- if all else fails she already has an appointment at the beauty shop at the end of November.

I hadn’t uploaded any videos since the heads and cam, other than the cold start, so thought about that when I got home from picking up kiddo from school… man, this girl is loud now. Only revved to 4500 and she’s screaming!! Interesting though, I noticed my speedo moved a bit when I revved it.. wth..? Is that normal…?

And here’s the cold start just because:

Sounds great!! You must have been ready to pass out in the garage with all the fumes from running so rich!!!

Do you get any drone on the highway @Sam Harris? I used to have it and it sucked. Which muffler did you use again?
Drone is pretty bad all the time. My helmholtz resonator was tuned for the previous setup. I didn’t consider the massive difference the heads and cam would make on the exhaust.. that j-pipe is really useless now. Lol. I have learned to deal with the noise. Only thing that is a bit annoying is, it sounds like I’m really getting into it, just taking off from a stop, normal ~20% throttle. So everyone thinks I’m racing them. :yaoface2:
I have a little 18” magnaflow muffler, and the cats in the ARH longtubes.. no other muffler or resonator. (Other than the helmholtz, that’s completely mis-tuned now)..

Replaced my dead rear window wiper motor with the $40 motor I got from Westover Auto Salvage.

Works great! I continue to be amazed at how easy GM engineers made everything so accessible and easy to swap out. Total time took me longer.

A) Because I never did rear wiper motor and had to look up any tips/tricks on YouTube first. (Hint: The window WILL slam on your fingers, even though you just watched the video where they TOLD you to be careful that it might slam on your fingers!)

B) I took my time. I just ate KFC, so I was not working that fast.

C) I also cleaned the front and back glass before putting new wiper blades on.

Wiper motor I took out and the one from the salvage yard were both Valeo (made in Mexico), which is OEM beginning in 2003. Apparently, GM split the wiper motor contract in 2003 with Delphi.

FYI - NAPA is running 20% for online orders for AAA members through 10/31!
I got "ultimate" Rain-X Lattitude 22 inch blades for $49 and change (normally $30.99 ea.).

If Sam's is a bit too intense for you...

I can highly recommend the stainless cat-back from Corsa Performance. Sounds great at all speeds, no highway drone.
It's a Goldilocks system... Not too rough, not to quiet. Just right!

Good lub-lub-lub at idle, just enough noise on local roads to sound like a classic American V-8, a decent roar when you gun it. Then it settles down on the highway, which is nice on longer trips.

I don't have model number, but I believe I saw it on SummitRacing.com.

Put my new Husky 1200 lumen corded work light to use for the first time while changing the rear wiper motor last night...

I really loved the idea of going back to an old-school corded light with the cool light of LED!
Battery-powered devices I have were often not bright enough or batteries would die at completely the wrong time.

Only $39.

It feels like it is really solid build quality. Beefy!

Lit up the area I was woking on really well. Very bright, even on LO setting!

Hi/Lo setting, strong magnets on the back and a sturdy folding swivel hook at the top.

Has a single electrical outlet in the handle too. Great for electric disc grinder, wire wheel brush or whatever.

I think it is a new product.

Found out Monday, when it started raining on my commute, that my pulse board for windshield had taken a poo... added that to the to-do list
I have no idea where that part is located. Still learning here... For future reference, where the heck is the pulse board?

At least the seem pretty cheap, so that is a plus for you!

*Sorry about the delay- am "working" and had to actually do some work real quick. In the process of trying to edit the post real quick, I screwed up the reply.

It is located on the windshield wiper motor.
