I did this about a year ago. I have wired-only CarPlay, so it’s unfortunate I still have to plug in. But, it’s very useful for my daughters cell while we’re driving and I’m plugged in, or for using BT with mine. Also, your “mat” seems to be a nice upgrade, with the little phone ridge around the charging area. Mine doesn’t have that, and with my particular phone case, it’s definitely not very grippy.. nice upgrade.! (I know, it’s filthy, and I STILL need to do my leather seat..! I’ve been a bit busy.. :fuckyea:View attachment 383291
I installed this last week..... Easy to install. Boost Auto has a great video.

Passed MA RMV inspection today!
Good 'til October 2023

My trusted mechanic had a heck of a time with the parking brakes. With everything off and back on twice in adjustments, he determined there was something not right with the rotors. On old rotors, adjusted to brushing the inside of the hat to get the rotor on. But once the rotor was on there was too much clearance and not enough grip action. They were the cheap-o rotors I put on when my calipers seized. Maybe defective castings? Anyway... New rotors (premium coated this time) and he got them to finally hold decent.I have done a lot of DIY, but I am glad I let my guy deal with this one.

FYI- MA just passed a new one, where you get the same number fro the month you are due, no matter what month you get inspected.
If you are due in June and wait until December for inspection, you will still get a 6 and the next one is still due six months later...

That's how NJ was--not anymore. Now you can buy a used car with the inspection sticker on it. They had to be pulled off before too.

My inTune3 works perfectly, as long as the aftermarket radio fuse is pulled when I upload the tune to the ECM.
That’s just what I was going to say. Anytime you’re writing to a module (PCM, HVAC control, etc) the system first tries to do a “ hand shake “ with every module on the bus and get its version info. If it can’t communicate with one, it can hang and the module you’re trying to program will brick. I did this with a HVAC control and couldn't bring it back from the dead. I learned to pull the fuse on my Pioneer stereo.

So if I do attempt this tune from the Diablo tuner, the main thing to be concerned about is the stereo fuse being removed? Everything else in the vehicle is basically factory (I have a different gauge cluster, but its factory programmed).

Also, I just had to order a bunch of front end parts. Upper ball joints, idler arm with bracket, pitman arm, and also a rear u-joint. Nothing like spending a bunch of money on repairs right before the holidays.

Anything aftermarket so if that’s just the stereo, yes. As long as it doesn’t get power, the system won’t try to communicate with it and you’ll be safe to flash a tune.

Installed my Boost Auto rapid charger yesterday. Easy install and works great! The Pelican phone case might have been interfering with the phone detecting the charging coils (or the charger detecting the phone). The phone kept charging, pausing, charging, pausing...

I took off the case and seemed to have no issue staying on charge until done. Charges very fast! As far as the phone moving around on the pad, it still stays on charge even if the phone slides up to the front edge of the tray.

I like the idea that I can put my phone on there and have it charge, even if the truck is off.

That would be handy for any time I need to rapid charge, but can't stay with it waiting for charge to finish. I can just drop it in the truck and come back a few minutes later.
