It's 11:20 PM here... I just went back form the garage. I've replaced my old faded parking assembly by new ones from Rockauto. I took the cheapest ones. They are made in Taiwan, are written export on it, and the shape for the bulb socket doesn't fit with mine although it's still easy to put them in place.

I've then put some LED bulb inside and at the rear. I used 3156-CW18-T cool white for the rear backup light. Would fit also in the turn signal but only have 2. Next time may be.

I've got a question.
When i look at the parking light assembly, I see three spots. The orange on the right, the middle one and the center one. (the picture below shows the driver side assembly.

On the right i see the side marker case in orange.
The middle housing is for the front turn signal right ?
The center housing is for the parking lamps.

The fact is I have a three wires socket that goes into the center housing. The bulb that is in it is a 3157. I though it was a mistake since this housing only has one feature. I placed in the socket a 3156 bulb. It doesn't work. It doesn't lit up. This mean I use a dual bulb for only one feature.

Does this has a dual feature in your country ?
The inner lights are daytime running lights from factory. Only light up when daylight and in any gear but park.

I popped off the oil fill neck to get an idea of any sludge or varnish in the engine so I can plot out my oil change intervals... and got a pleasant surprise. It's clean! Every other car I've gotten jas been pretty well neglected in that regard. The worst being a late 90s jetta... that was a mess.

Now if only I had a moment of down time at work so I could do some actual maintenance on it...

Thanks.
DRL were illegal back then. That's why it has been deactivated when imported in Belgium. The parking lamp feature works only. I'd like to re activate the DRL feature. Is there a fuse dedicated to the DRL?

Just took the cover off the Tahoe after 2 months away and took her for a spin to get the kids a pizza.

She looked and sounded good.

Have a few maintenance items left over from before the summer that need attention first.

-Service Air Bag light.
-Rear lift gate handle and hatch button not working.

Will update my build thread with results and photos.

Ordered my flush mount Led Pods for some extra light when backing up, for now I'm just leaving them with no switch, but later on when I get my 20" bar for my bumper I'll wire them up to switches (separate).

I'm trying to decide if I want to put any lights on my roof basket, idk of its worth the $

I removed my rear wiper and filled the holes with plastic plugs. I'm going to look for someone who can weld an aluminum backing plate inside the door so my bodyshop can fill and paint it. I was so tired of looking at that wiper that I never have used.

Mind sharing what plugs you bought? Thinking about doing this to mine as well @Red Rocket
Hahaha well... I bought about 30 different ones at my local Ace Hardware. The hole sizes we are left with after removing the hardware is one @ 1 1/8", one @ 3/8", and three @ 1/4". I couldn't find one at 1 1/8" so I bought a filler-ring thing that reduced the hole to 1" and used my angle grinder to modify it and make it work, then used a 1" hole plug. The others were just panel clips for the appropriate size holes I think. I just bought everything I thought would work.
