And its on sale?! C'mon, man...killin me!
I didn't even notice, lol.
To those who have colormatched their bumpers, did y'all just sand off the chrome from the bumper? What grit? Did y'all have a shop do it?
A friend of mine has an F150 who did his front bumper. He scuffed it up and had a body shop paint it black. Came out pretty good. He's had it done since last summer and I saw it two weeks ago, it's holding up pretty good. He didn't use anything special to prep the chrome before painting.

Sweet, thanks Tony. Probably gonna do that at the beginning of the summer if it's not too difficult.

Painters did mine. They scuffed it up good, primed it really good and filled in minor imperfections, then the final topcoat and clear coats. Still looking good on both front and rear bumpers. A few very, very tiny rock chips, but shiny and holding tight since Fall 2015.

Another option is vinyl wrap. Probably get both bumpers done yourself and cost under $100. I don't trust painting chrome unless it's completely stripped with sandblasting, not just sanded with paper.
Shop will charge a few hundred each bumper to prep and paint.
Your color would be easy to match up, I've been trying to match up mine but it's hard with the metallic flake.
