What's the fix on the caps? I like that little contrast on dark/black wheels.

I wracked my brain trying to figure out the best way. I also asked the forum for any opinions on ways to mount them. Easiest way was the most obvious. I broke the mounting tabs off behind the caps, ground behind the caps flat, and just siliconed them in place. Hopefully they won't fly off.

It should work. Silicone holds half the world in place.

Drove it almost 2 hours to Plant City to pick up a dash frame for my Dodge, then drove it the same distance home. Ran and drove like a brand new machine.

Damn, I love this thing. You'd never know it had 205k on the clock.

This weekend I pulled the aftermarket chrome over the wheel wells that the PO had put on their. Wasn't too bad to remove, but still have some cleanup that needs to take place. Especially the rear quarter. Something happened back there, and the PO had it repainted and whoever repainted it did a piss poor job. So I have a hard ridge where they taped off the chrome, and a few spots where you can see tape lines, and of course spots that are peeling, and horrible orange peel. It's looks fine from a distance, but don't look too close.

I also pulled the bug guard off the hood and gave it a thorough scrubbing and polishing as it was getting pretty nasty.

Other than that, a general washing.

Do you have pics of your cleaned bug guard? Wondering if it's worth the effort for mine

Silicone works for center caps. Had them on my declads for 2 years. Switched tires and but blank caps on last week then mounted on my new to me Silverado. 3c9ad427db0881f82df7527ab759bd56.jpg8e9009a7100d7f8b6725d28f25bb2d80.jpg
