Got her polished up and waxed. I’ve purchased almost all the supplies I need to get this done, but just never seem to have the time. So paid a neighborhood guy to do a 3-step exterior treatment. Very happy with the results. She’s showing her age in the little paint chips, but considering a 15 year old GM paint job, I think she looks great! Will be doing the interior detail next..

Lookin' sharp!

Very cool. Sounds like the encoder motor is a fairly common failure in these t-cases.

I installed a brand new one (I think only Dorman makes them new, but I could be wrong) a few months before my transfer case got rebuilt. I think the old TC took its toll; the encoder motor worked for a while after the rebuild but then started acting up. Somewhat secretly.

New alternator Friday. Today I buffed, detailed and gassed up. Ready for the week!
Nicely dressed, but I noticed one small missed detail. The two square holes in the front bumper where the license plate mounts. I picked up a couple of chrome carriage head bolts from Ace Hardware to fill those holes on mine. Looks better than having the empty holes.
