I bought my 05 Denali knowing it had next to no oil pressure. Brought it home and dropped the pan and found tons of metal filings. Pulled engine and tore it down and found the rod and main bearings to look great. After I got the crank out I could see the main issue...spun #3-4 cam bearings. So after a trip to the machine shop for a block prep it was back on the stand getting all new King bearings, sealed power rings, Summit Pro LS truck cam, LS 7 lifters, Melling timing set and oil pump. The heads got treated to new LS7 springs, new seals and a surface. I'm used all Felpro gaskets and some new Summit head bolts...not the TTY stockers. Been taking care of little things along the way, new headlight assy, marker and DRL lenses, good bath and buffing, New tires, brakes and rotors all the way around, new front hubs, lower ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends. Next week I will go through the front diff and put new bearings in it...yes it howls like dog looking for some love! After that it will be new mufflers and tail pipes. Still not sure what mufflers I'm goin to use, leaning towards Magnaflow, Borlas, maybe some bigger Flowmaster 50 series delta flows. That's it for now.

Need pictures! :)

What kind of shape were the old ones in, and what sort of difference did you notice after replacing?
Old ones were worn for sure. I hate to speak prematurely since I have yet to drive it on the highway. I haven't made any sharp lane changes either to judge. I normally just drive this one around the smaller streets just cruising. I am ordering reat sway bar links from RA so I won't be able to install and speak on the rears and total package until then.

Does this look right, measurements after drop.

DF 31 3/4
PF 32 5/8
DR 33 3/8
PR 33 5/8

I am aware of the chevy lean on these trucks, but I can't fit a fist on the driver front but I can on the passenger front. Any thoughts from you guys.

sounds about right. Adjust the torsion bars a bit.

How much fuel is in it? Full tank vs empty makes a difference

Damn. That's a good bit more than I've done in several years of ownership lol
