What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

New fuel pressure regulator. New fuel filter. Runs better, but still gives me the random not want to fire on first attempt. There's no rhyme or reason - sometimes it does it cold, sometimes hot, sometimes luke warm. Might be fuel pump time. KOEO hits 45 PSI...just a tad low from what I've read for Flex Fuel. :(

Yeah its painful, but I'm spending the time and money to get it fixed correctly. This has been the best vehicle I've owned and I look to keep it for at least the next 10 years.
Are they just going to replace the lower sills, and repaint just them? What's a good price?
I am getting full inner/outer rocker panels, and the "dog legs" behind the rear wheels done. It'll be removing all of the rust on the body and painting for $4000. If they do a good job I'll be going back to get color matched bumpers and the grill done. But first to make the lady happy I'll be getting the power steps. Happy wife, happy life, you know?
My rockers are gone from the bend under the door and down. Everything covered by the Z71 trim. Stopped by a local shop. $3k was the estimate! I am going to see if I can swing a welder this summer and do them myself. Not professional... I just want to get at least 4 years out of her, before having to move on.
This was a repair I put off for two years that I couldn't wait any longer, I don't want to let the thing rust apart. $3k is a good estimate. I'm terrible at welding and have very little experience with body work of any kind.

I know the body shop owner, so I trust his estimate is fair. They also would make the finished product look like it came from the factory (or better) and last another 20 years.

If I could put $3k down on my $6500 Tahoe, I'd be in it for $9,500. If I could have afforded a $10k Tahoe when I was looking to change vehicles last fall, I would have financed one that did not have rust on it yet. But, it is what it is. I have what I can afford and I'll just have to make it work. I might be able to get replacement rocker parts and a decent welder for less than $1,500. My monthly payments stay low; and... I end up with a welder I can use for other projects.

I bought my 2006 for $3500 in 2017. I have only put about 20k miles on it since buying it. If I were to put my educated guess on how much I've put into mine, I'd be well over the $13k mark. TONS of maintenance, lift kit/shocks, wheels/tires, stereo, paint correction, and now adding another $4k to that number. But I'd much rather have a paid off vehicle than a monthly payment.

That is a good price. I'm catching up to you with the rust. I'm in Jersey. Dog leg on the passenger side is rusty. I had it fixed, but it came back quick.

I was looking but saw it's on backorder. So they told you 2-3 weeks..? :hmmm2:

Yeah when I called, like a week ago, he said he had just gotten like 100 more in that day. And it would be around the same amount of time that summit was showing on their site for it, like shipping march 26th or something.
When I called back to ask about the lifter trays, a second guy made sure I knew they were on back order, and he said 2-3 weeks. I will definitely post when I get mine. Hoping this machine shop says my block is good.

Could it be a fuel pump on it’s way out?
