The instructions for your TA Performance girdle say to fill until fluid comes out of the factory fill plug on the side of the housing, not the fill plug on the cover. Don’t overfill it.

the factory fill plug was on the old cover plate, I put in 3qt I guess im going to call it good, factory capacity is supposedly 2.2~2.41qts and the cover is supposed to add 1/2 pint extra capacity so it has to be pretty dam close???

Well $hit.... I looked high and low for a decent 2500 that wasn't ratty and here one shows up on ebay....One month after I bought the Denali....

I think the fill plug takes a 3/8" rachet end/extension

the factory one does yes, but this ta performance girdle say's 1/2" npt in the manual, I didn't have anything fit, so i went hunting for a 1/2" allen-----NOPE, finally got it off and then took it to the store with me, would have been nice if they would have put in the manual that it takes a 3/8" allen

1/2" npt is the thread size (National Pipe Thread).

Yes, and I have no idea why they put that info in the instructions but not the allen size. Like we’re going to go buy our own plug to put in there?

Ya, I kinda figured it would take a 1/2" Allen, but o"well I got it done and have a nice new set of Craftsmen sae Allen wrenches now, lol
I was just missing the 3/8's, the hardest part was beating the panhard bar on it fought me all way, took 2 sets of rubber mallets because there is no room under the truck to swing so I did it from outside the driver's wheel well, I put one mallet on the bar then smacked it with the other mallet

If you need a 1/2” Allen why not just a 1/2” drive ratchet wrench? would get the same results

I’m thinking that the hex drive won’t work with the square drive on a ratchet handle.

I tried everything I had at my disposal, I did finally get it off by wedging a flat head in with a smaller allen, I didn't want to put it back in like that and damage it though.
