Does anybody do a Wattslink to replace the panhard bar? That way it doesn’t move at all laterally thru the suspension cycle?
They’re not really useful for normal suspension travel, they’re mostly for if you’re bagged and have a lot of up and down movement. Otherwise if you’re static you’re only going up and down a couple inches and thus not moving much side to side during that travel so you just set the left/right at your normal ride height. Even lowered 4” in the rear mine isn’t much off. Also I’ve never seen one used with a girdle, I don’t think there’s room.

For the relatively minimal range of motion the suspension of a street-driven SUV cycles, it's way overkill and not worth the hassle with everything else goin on back there. Hell, we have to shift the sway bar, delete the bump stop, notch a cross member and sometimes pull other tricks just for a sizeable static drop. If it were 'bagged, then Watts link FTW.

I really looked at Spohn, I love their stuff. Even their custom stuff where they build it to your specs doesn’t offer anything with a bend. I emailed them and wasn’t impressed with their answer which basically wasn’t any help. The QA1 was the only one I was able to find. So I am curious if anyone else has found a different one, especially a Spohn. Someone needs to make an adjustable with a bend around the diff.

So there's straight and adjustable or bent and non-adjustable, but no bent and adjustable? Why not get the parts from a place like Ballistic Fab and slice your bent bar? Get a Johnny joint, tube adapter and jamb nut:

Spohn doesn’t make one with a bend, at least not that I know of, I looked believe me. They make an adjustable to center the wheels left to right but it’s straight. If you found a Spohn with a bend Id sure be interested to see it. Post it up.

I looked, and looked some more. I had a Spohn adjustable but it didn’t have a bend and when I bought the TA Performance girdle there was no way it was going to fit so I sold it. I contacted Spohn and they didn’t have a solution.

I spoke with Spohn when I order the panhard, upper, & lower rear control arms. They helped me make sure I had the correct end fittings on the correct set of bars. We then spent some time discussing the possibility of getting some raw components and having them assembled by them if need be because I want to powder coat the fittings glossy black and leave the bars charcoal. Long story short we had a good discussion and even talked about pricing and what is entailed. We then discussed the Panhard bar. They told me that they do offer that up but it's a special order kind of thing if I recall the convo correctly.

I put the whole effort on hold when I was unable to install the uppers and when I knew I still had to order the dif cover and.... I had to get back to work so that whole mod effort remains half complete.

I will know more for sure once I get back and continue working on that part of the effort later. At this time my time is consumed by work, the other rides and getting the tune final tweaked. Always something.

Only reason I ask is because one of the youtuber car people I watch put one in place of his panhard bar on his mustang and was very impressed with the better handling. Not that I think it would be of much help on an SUV. Was just curious.

I’m still not sure if I like the way the Tahoe drives with those rough country leveling spacers. Next year I may say screw it and get some coilovers and throw the spacers away. I need to do more studying on suspension because for some reason it made the suspension in front way stiffer.

That’s not what they told me. They said they don’t offer one in any bent configuration, even on their custom orders. Like I said, they were of no help. I also know of not one person who has a bent Spohn panhard. But it’s ok with me, Im nearly centered and the girdle is most important to me since adding the blower. I’m more concerned with keeping my drivetrain in one piece.

Great idea. I’ll put that on my list of shit to do lmao. Seems like a lot of work just to move the rear end to the left 1/4” though. Thanks buddy...;)

They shouldn't have altered the ride firmness at all. I wonder if it's the Autoride firming it up for whatever reason. Mine didn't change at all, but our shocks may be at different wear levels.
