Put air in a tire. It was about 5 psi low and I had to put a couple psi in a couple days ago too.

Sprayed some soap solution around the stem and along the bead and found these bubbles. Looks like a small leak along the bead right where the wheel weight is attached615d0c4480cae0b739fe78ada13a45ca.jpg

I had the same issue. I thought I fixed it and I obviously didn’t because my tire was flat the other day. It leaks down too fast now and with it getting cold I just ended up finding some late model wheels and tires and swapped it so I do t have it in the back of my head.

Welp, getting to the other head.
It came off with a broken exhaust bolt.
Already broken long ago etc.

Well i decided i was going to drill out he middle, and try using an "Easy Out"

Well that easy out is now broken, and stuck in there.

Spent some time trying to get it out, decided I'm making it way worse than it was.

I have two options at this point,
Reinstall with the broken bolt missing.
Find a machine shop that's willing and has time to remove it.
Or replace the head...

The Tahoe smells strongly of gas inside when I remote start her. The smell is so strong it makes me worry when I put my kids inside. The fuel pump is newer. Could this be from broken exhaust manifold bolts?

Should be easier to remove now that the head is off.

Exhaust gas or raw gas?

Do you have a welder?

You can weld onto the bolt without worrying about it sticking to the aluminum head.

That was the idea, until the "easy out" made it no so easy.
almost felt like it was starting to back out, but it turns out the tool was just twisting... lol

Tomorrow i'll try and find a shop that's hopefully open and is willing to give it a shot.
Otherwise, i found used heads via ebay for about $200...

I saw one of those heads had a broken bolt in the same location... :anitoof:
