More power to you. I did all my work and that abs module and brake line junction setup behind the drivers seat is a cluster ****. I’ll never do it again.

yes the L83. The tpi version. Not prone to the Optispark mess on the lt1/4.

It was too tight and annoying to work on. Needed so much. I inherited it and tried so hard to make it work. Couldn’t do it. Needed everything. Got what I put into back when I sold it tho. So it was a good experience and broke even. Never again tho. My fave is the c2 followed by the c5/6.

My C4 does not have ABS.
Something i remind my self of every time i get in the car.
I usually repeat it several times as i warm up the engine.

Massive brakes = need to think about the brake pedal.

Opti Spark, yeah i heard about some of the PITA around that.
And that you need to be VERY selective when buying parts.

That’s why you enjoy it! If you had to run all the brake lines to the inside cabin cubby hole behind the driver seat with a rubber flat gasket to mount to the abs pump/module you would set the car on fire yourself. Worst design ever!

I would probably delete it and run new lines. :D

It’s integrated into the dash and computer and would have lights on all over the place. I was going to repair it to keep it until I started running the lines there. It’s a nightmare. I did enjoy the test ride when I finished it but not enough to keep it. I needed another 5-7k to get it near perfect and enjoy it without any headaches. Not worth it for what those cars go for when they are already near perfect.

Yeah i like how my C4 is so basic.
the EBL unit gives me control over most of the systems...

The real selling feature was the age, had just turned 31 years old when i bought it.
And in my state that = Antique/Collector car status!

got the rockers installed, primed the engine with oil
Was dumb luck that i had the clear tube, but that made it very handy...

got a nice even flow from each rocker, did most of the priming @ 50 psi air, but needed to raise to 110psi to get all of the lifters flowing oil.

getting closer! :ehcapt:
