Found out there is NOT a GM plug for cigarette to USB conversion that doesn’t involve routing it to the head unit. Scam.

A replacement cylinder? I’ve only been able to find adapters but I gave up after a couple google pages.
Pretty much all the USB outlets fit the hole size of the power outlets/cigarette lighter outlets. Here's one on Amazon and if you read the Q & A's at the bottom they say it fits the same size hole as a cigarette lighter/accessory outlet. This one connects to 12v and converts it to 5v for USB. Make sure the one you buy does that.

The downside I see to that one is that is has the 10A inline GLASS fuse. Maybe it never blows but I wouldn't want to be looking for it when the outlet doesn't work. I'd think about hardwiring it since that's a fused circuit anyway, but I'd need to see what size fuse is in the truck. LOL

There’s tons of these out there. They pretty much all fit the outlet holes. Just find one with the fuse holder you want and install it at the fuse panel and run the wire from there to the outlet.
