So I have been driving around getting the 200 miles relearn done on the transmission, that only took a week and it still didn't seem right so I went by the shop and he said well maybe it's not done relearning he said to drive it for another week and see what it does today made it 400+ miles and so I took it by the shop something is wrong with the 3-4 shift. He thinks it is either the tecm or a piston in the drum, so it goes back Monday.
That sux. Better be free!

mechanic does not have the ability to do the relearn function??!

use the tech2, just get that trans like above 170f before you do.

on a side note, hp tuners can do it too. :)

oh yeah, tecm.
did they happen to rebuild yer tecm with the rebuild?
laminates split apparently, mine were going when i did it proactively...
that can cause the trans to be all sorts of weird if the pressure is leaking into the tecm

The parts to do it came with the shiftkit he used ;)

they put in a brand new tecm, I think that's what it is though something with the pressure, if I just ***** foot it around it slips in what seems like 2/3 & 3/4, if I give it more pedal it seemed to pull fine or much better anyway, when they gave it to me they put it in relearn mode and told me to take it easy on the first 200 miles because of the new clutches and yada yada

and getting this thing to 170 would take some work, like put cardboard over the front end or in front of the coolers with the B&M pan and trucool it sits around 129 all day in the winter, it will only hit 180 in the summer 100+ deg and working it hard.
