I’m just doing a simple battery swap in the Silverado. The tender tried to save the Super Start that’s in it but it didn’t work, so I’m going with an Interstate AGM. This is a bit harder than most trucks I would say.

Gonna change the cam, since you’re there.

Ordered a new spare tire hoist. Damn thing stuck and the secondary latch wouldn’t let the tire down. Apparently that is a thing, and the replacement is designed differently.

Fortunately this was discovered at home in the garage and not roadside somewhere.

Link to what you bought? I need the winch, the guide tube and the insert tool to winch it.

I couldn't get the spare out any other way. Thank God I was home. That damn secondary latch is always the problem.IMAG0275_9809844863861.jpg
I just pried it open with a big screwdriver and left it bent to the side. I haven't needed to drop it since I messed with it, but at the time after doing this it would drop and release with 0 issues.

Well...already did that. Vinci cam, dual springs, hardened pushrods, vitron seals. Thinking about doing the second set of mini H1’s since the headlights are easier to remove with no bumper. Waiting on a second set of demon eyes to be delivered, supposed to be here Tuesday. Already have the rest of the parts.

Id relocate that to under the bed or something. Just make sure you run some leads out to an accessible place if the battery takes a shit, so you can power the compressor/valves

My dream one day is to go through my s10 and turn it into a little dedicated trail rig.

I'm also looking at my 5.3 block and thinking how much better that s10 would be with that installed.

It would need a different reluctor wheel than my gen 4 has anyways...
And then i need to rebuild the transmission anyways, so it's a good time to dump the v6 crap, add more clutch disks etc.

Then i remember how broke i am because of the hoe project.

:greenchainsaw:

It's so pretty, smells like a leather coat store...

Wonder if it can be modded to bypass those locks. Cut the hooks off or something.
