I am considering if I would like one of these vs my LTZ one.
I thought that's what this one was. What's the difference? My Denali one has retractable, pivoting covers that close to make an unbroken expanse of fake wood. It looks okay. But the doors take up so much space that there isn't enough room to even put my sunglasses in it. This one is far more useful, and only slightly less attractive. That's a compromise I'm willing to make.

Replaced the driver's side valve cover on my 2014 Tahoe PPV. Only to discover it already had the new valve cover.

At least it was as easy as the videos showed.

This makes me wonder if the AFM diverter has also been changed. I'm not going to open up the oil pan just to look.

IIRC, 2010+ came from the factory with the updated rocker cover. I think the new AFM goodies- the deflector shield and updated VLOM, started in 2010 as well, or maybe it was 2011. Your 2014 should have all the latest and greatest offerings for this generation.

LTZ insert is the same as the Denali one, just with a different fake wood style and/or color.

Hmm
Or should i spring for the one that comes with the wireless charging pad.

Astro Tools 52SLC 500x2 Lumen Folding Double-Sided LED Slim Light W/Wireless Charging Pad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JBI1Y0...abc_EPDP7RAJ751669RMSJV5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Hmmm

:hmmm2:
I wouldn’t want a double sided one unless you can turn off one side so it isn’t shining in your face. Also those don’t have a hook on the end for hanging it. I even added a wire to the opposite end of mine that I leave wrapped around it when not needed. That way I can suspend the entire thing. I’ve had this one for years, forget the brand. I added some bright reflective tape to the backside after I drove around for a week with it under my hood disguised as a hose.

I know right?!

I saw it on southmain auto channel, and you can select what side illuminates. :waytogo:

That would be a serious oversight if it always blinded the user.

ETA: "bright reflective tape" yup, that's a good idea right there.
I had a little pocket magnetic led light that i loved, it disappeared one day.
Pretty sure i left it under one of my cars and it was lost.

My question would still be positioning it without any kind of a hook. It rarely works to wedge a light in place. I need to be able to hook it and then rotate it until it’s shining in exactly the right spot. I guess you’ll have to figure that part out. For illuminating a large area I use a big one that can sit flat or propped up.
