Corn has been hovering around 60-65% here for a while... Filled up this morning, apparently it was only 25%ish...wtf

Drove all the way to work like that and then back home and literally backing into my parking spot check engine light came on, lean code.
I know it's hot, but I thought it seemed a little more sluggish than usual.
Still need to dig in there and figure out why the driver side is always leaner than the passenger side.

What fuel was in there before filling up and how much was still in there?

I've been running premium 93 octane and the alcohol % has been at 5%. I filled up with E85 last week but there was still about 7 gallons in the tank and my alcohol % settled at 59%

E85- 64% i think
About 4 gallons left.
It's never supposed to be under 50% out of the pump.
The fuel delivery truck was there this morning, but he wasn't hooked up to anything.

could be a front window seal, mine was leaking on the passenger side, new window fixed that, mine had a big o'l chip in it anyway.
I hope not. Is that something I can just re-seal without replacing the window? How did you track it down?

It's time I run my trans cooler lines correctly using tubing instead of rubber. I know how to bend and make flares on lines, but what I don't know is what metal and what size tubing is used for trans cooler lines.

Long story short, when I replaced my engine, installed a trucool 40k cooler, and torque converter.... But I had to temporarily use rubber hosing to get from the radiator to the cooler. The rubber leaks badly at the clamps so I'm going to redo that all in what ever tubing trans cooler lines are.

Just use the proper size coated steel line.

=1/²”

I was thinking about getting that DIY "AN" stuff from summit and getting rid of my rubber hose when I relocate my cooler also.
The Hardline idea isn't too bad either.
When I added the cooler the first time and then cut the engine radiator out of the loop altogether, I ended up hacking the factory metal lines anyway and put a flare on there just to keep the rubber hose on and from leaking.

Nearly all the RA parts are here.
FedEx updated my LCA and steam port hose-rad to be delivered on Tuesday instead of tomorrow.
And I should be getting some Lucas oil stabilizer dropped off tomorrow also, for future oil changes.

Pep boys has been my go-to auto parts store for the last 10 years because they always had the oil and filters and whatnot that I use. Well they decided to keep their service departments, but get rid of their in-store parts departments. All of that drama started a few months back. And now all of the parts departments that used to be pep boys are going to be advance Auto parts.
My autozone's, napa, O'Reilly don't carry any of the stuff I like to use unfortunately so I ended up buying stuff from Amazon this last time. Figured I'd buy in bulk because of that.
Hopefully advanced will carry all the stuff I prefer and open up soon.

After the radiator blew up and I put the new one in, using the old hoses I was having leaking issues. I decided to change those hoses out obviously, and then after I did all that, thought I should probably just change all of the hoses to be safe, so I finally ordered that stuff and just got it in.

Ordered the hoses between the radiator and overflow reservoir, the heater hoses to the firewall, the plastic fittings for that as well.

Goodridge stainless braided brake lines-I'll probably wait to put those on, might just order for calipers and replace them all for s's and g's and then bleed the whole system with the tech2.

Just trying to freshen up the old girl to make sure she won't leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere.

got the thrust bearing fully installed today.
Managed to seat that baby from under the truck, pan off and with a dead blow.

endplay successfully checked 3x, and a 4th after final torque.
Final check was just shy of .003 (probably like .0028).

now i need to unbolt the converter, double check the converter install depth, and see if i can't see how far that baby seats into the end of the crank.

Pretty much chasing my tail to figure out wtf i did wrong. :banghead:

Only thing i can think of right now, the harmonic balancer was seated a bit too far.
meaning the belts were pulling on the crank a little, against the thrust bearing.

I doubt it was enough to matter, but I'm going try fixing that again.
I'm Glad i got the ARP balancer bolt when i built the engine.
