Looks real nice. Tahoes like yours make me think go lower and bigger wheels. I'm usually a lift it and bigger tire guy but torn of which way to go lol. Mine is bone stock and I'm itching to change that.

My HID kit from The Retrofit Source came with a relay harness, but someone mentioned using an Escalade relay which won't let them fire until the truck is running, or until it senses enough voltage to properly run the ballasts. I'm not familiar with the timed relays you mentioned, so I'll have to look into them. I'm assuming I could just replace the standard relay that comes with the kit with one of the timed relays and then I'd be able to retain the automatic headlights? If its as simple as that, then that seems like the answer.
I used a Jatronx relay (voltage sensitive to 13.5 volts). Works great. Only triggers the HIDs when the truck is running and thus the voltage is high enough to supply the ballasts properly. If I don't want the lights on when the auto headlights try to come on (like backing out of my garage during the day), I just turn the switch off before cranking the truck.

It is a 4x4 and I came real close to putting a level kit on it but that's not me lol

Not really. The timed relay goes in line of the signal wire ( positive from truck bulb socket) that controls the relays.

I see. Thanks for the tip.

This is exactly what I was referring to in my original post. I'd prefer to use a relay that is sensitive to the correct voltage than an adjustable timed relay. I'll search around for the Jatronx one you mentioned. Thanks.

ETA: Just did some research on the Jatronx voltage sensitive relays. It seems from reading a member of HIDPlanet's forum that all I would have to do is simply replace the relay(s) that come with my Morimoto kit with these voltage sensitive relays. Its as simple as that. Using these relays I could then remove the resistor I installed which disabled my automatic headlights. Here's a link to the thread about the Jatronx relays for anyone interested.
