Thanks!!!

David, why you shipping it?

I just finished school and moving home. Truck needs to make its way here and ship is the only way since it doesn't fit in the planes that fly up.

Changed the alternator. One of the easiest alternator changes you could have. I probably spent more time to go to NAPA a few miles from my house than changing it. Haha...

May not have been necessary, but since voltage at the battery was well below 14V while running, I thought might as well. The truck is sometimes a bit slow to crank and now that the battery is a couple of months old and alternator brand new, hopefully that will not be the case anymore. Sometimes it also just clicks, but always starts after a couple more turns of the key.

I did notice that the negative terminal was a bit loose even when tightened as much as I could. It wasn't flopping around, or anything, but just slightly loose so that you could move it by hand. Not sure if that is the cause of the clicks, but I did manage to make a bit tighter, so I guess we'll see.

Hate to hear the wife complaining about it...

If the problem continues you might want to look at replacing the negative battery cable. I have a 07 Yukon and at about 75k miles I was experiencing hard starts, low voltage, draining the battery, there is a thread on here if you need more info
