Yeah you would need a fresh clean surface. If you read Zach's blog post he goes through the process on how to apply it and what should be done prior to application. Like I said before I have no used this coating so I really can't make any claims on how it performs. I personally use Americoat and CQuartz Finest on my clients vehicles. Another product you could use that I have used would be Ameriarmour, which is also very easy to apply. I can say that this is a good product as I have used it and it does work great. I just used armour on a set of wheels I did for a client along with Black Pearl tire coating.

Wrapped up a few spots and in storage, will be on a ship and heading to me in a few weeks when the ice clears!
