I removed the VCIM (onstar).. Already was disabled, but I need to run some wires for my switches and plan to take power from that harness anyway. tan-black to tan-black and tan to tan. yes you can! Truck still runs.. so that's good.

FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I could not remove the terminals from that connecter! Backed out the plastic terminal lock.. had terminal tools, poked on that connector forever! Took macro photos with my phone.. no joy.. finally the wire snapped at the terminal. So I got to cutting and splicing and crimping and soldering. I just wanted to know how to remove the terminals for future reference, guess I'll never know. (plus I wanted to test jumper them outside of the plug as the two circuits were right next to each other on one plug)

Lots of effort to connect 4 wires today..

Was scoping out the wiring for a new subwoofer amplifier install in the front center console, under the cup holder. Going to run power in thru the main grommet, i guess… but I hate the thought of taking an exacto-knife blade to the grommet. I think I’ve decided that’s the best way to go.

While was under there I fished a golf tee out from under the front seat inboard rail from the Silver Lakes Robert Trent Jones Trail course in Anniston, Alabama …. That means that tee has been there for 20 years!

Did you guys power your amps thru the main grommet or drill a new hole in the firewall?

Oil and filter change @ 347,877. Saw the d/s half shaft outer boot is spitting out it's grease. Confirmed if the front diff harness get's unplugged it trips the Service 4WD System warning. I was hoping it wouldn't.
