Yeah... but arms cost $$$ when you could achieve the same for under $15 as well as avoid the potential for inducing bumpsteer and/or whatever other odd characteristics people report after installing lowering arms.

I see. Back to the drawing board!

I must agree. But I still wouldn't feel completely at rest without some sort of backup. A simple C-shaped bracket made of high-strength steel that wraps around the bottom of the bar pin (T-bar) and over the top of the mount on the arm would put me at ease.
Anyone buy nuts and bolts yet for this project can share what they used?

Installed a DIC switch. It's a great feeling greeting people and the first thing I tell them is "I just made a DIC hole with a dremel". They all have the same look on their faces.

Do you mind sharing a photo? I need to do it, but I'm hesitant to ruin a perfectly good piece of plastic.

Honestly, I'd rather not share a photo...but there's a lot out there already even on this forum. That's where I got the idea.

Reason I don't want to share it is because, like most of my DIY projects, I don't get motivated to use power tools until after a few drinks. By that time what little skill I have has diminished to the point of a tragic comedy. My DIC hole looks like I started it with a chisel and finished it with my teeth. I will say that others have done it and made it look great. I, however, did not. If you just glanced at it then it's "passable". Kind of...

I figured I had nothing to lose since I could either try it or spend the $150 or more on a new trim bezel. I opted to try a dremel first. I secured it from the back with some permanent bond foil backed tape that I've used for countless auto projects. That stuff never lets me down.

Took the kids to see snow for the first time.

Snapped a pic of the Burb. Please excuse her, she's dirty.
