The aluminum hood sounds interesting. Lift gate too but I don’t know about that. I’d really like to buy the tooling to do carbon fiber work though. Full carbon hood and lift gate skin, fenders, and roof. Delete the sunroof.
The lift gates have been aluminum forever. Go try to stick a magnet to yours.

Bought some of these to try out because I have had somewhat good luck with there carpet cleaner before, these seem to work pretty fair in general but when trying on the headliner it did leave some of the blue thread material behind, a follow-up with a regular baby wipe removed it

Speaking of headliners, my ceiling vents have black stains on the louvers. I've tried a couple different cleaners I had in the garage with no luck. Does anyone know how these remove? It looks like there are 2 mounting holes around the lip, don't know if they just snap in or what?

on my nbs they used to just twist in a semi circle and then slide out, I would imagine these are same

wrong they had to put the tahoe on a slim fast diet to get the exact same curb weight as the non hybrid..

so they could put a 500 pounds more worth of equipment in.. It has a reinforced structure for extra protection just to protect the battery LOL

I know the NBS are aluminum, are you saying they went back to steel on the NNBS? Mine shows signs of what looks like rust but it’s just aluminum corrosion.

Mine has a little rust along the welds at the bottom on the right side.

They started using aluminum lift gates on the NBS. Pretty sure they didn’t go back. I know mine is.

I've read on here that the Hybrid had an aluminum liftgate, and that is the reason why the rear window was non-openable. If this is true, I would assume non-Hybrids had steel liftgates (where'd I put my magnet?). I'm curious to know if this is the case. And I don't see how the aluminum would preclude having the glass open.
