Transmission fluid and filter. Didn’t realize I needed to unbolt the exhaust to do it. That turned into an adventure when one of the nuts seized onto the stud and then stripped half way off. I tried to take the stud out but the hex on the end spun in the socket too. Had to unbolt the trans mount and jack it up a bit to get a straighter shot at the stud and use another nut to push it back up to good threads. It grabbed and tightened up. I did manage to get the pan off and cleaned out and a new filter installed before getting the exhaust all back together. All tight and no leaks so it can stay like that till next time. I figure I will need to try to get that stud out next time but hopefully the nut will seize to it and I can heat that manifold ear up and spin it out.

Performed some minor, mundane testing on the load bags
Removed the hood
Unbolted the torque converter from the flex plate
Removed all spark plugs
Compression test on 2 cylinders
Unbolted exhaust manifolds
Removed air intake

Had my order cancelled by gmparts for my heated steering wheel. I had a bad feeling that would happen, it looks like heated steering wheels for the 07-14 are all totally discontinued.

Probably due to multiple issues but I bet that one of them is that all of the oem warranties have expired thus there is no necessity.

it's pretty easy take off the wheel, 2 bolts, push the caliper back in, re-install. I used the severe duty metallic pads last time they lasted me 2yrs, went with the premium ceramic this time.
