Finally washed the Tahoe after a VERY long time. Yeah....rock chips everywhere. All over the hood, and even found some chips on the passenger side door. Front bumper is/has been shot(clearcoat) so that's another thing.

Honestly not sure what to do. We have been looking at trading in the 09' 4door jeep we have and have been looking at alot of different vehicles. Telluride, explorer, traverse mainly. Would like to get another tahoe/denali of my gen, but she is skeptical about getting a high mileage vehicle (anything over 100k).

I don't want a high monthly payment so the k2xx is probably out of the question.

Not real sure what I want to do. My Tahoe will stay with me until it falls apart or I need a new engine.

Only looked at them to verify they were not broken. I have had one apart for a CV axle swap.
I would check to see if they move when you yank on them with the suspension hanging just to eliminate them as the source of the clunk. And while you’re there check everything else for movement.

Just scored these on ebay for 60 bucks. The ones on my truck are aftermarket and it feels like im gonna break em each time i pull on my door. I should have just had my original textured ones sanded down and painted em

That’s a score! The OEM ones are nearly that much each iirc. And my friend that owns a body shop won’t even touch the aftermarket ones anymore because they just break in no time.

Had it up today and checked the upper control arm bolts. All four took a half turn before my torque wrench clicked at 148 foot pounds. Everything else is tight.

took the sway bar out and found a buildup inside the bore of the bushings and rust buildup on the pad of the frame between the bushing and the frame. The bushings were sort of galled to the sway bar and should be replaced soon but in the absence of parts I lubed them up with spray anti-seize and put everything back together. Now the sway bar moves smoothly in the bushings. Fingers crossed.

Picked up the 3m eraser wheel and changed out the rear GMC emblem.

It's freaking hot to do anything else, mid 90s with high humidity.

My 2011 had the black GMC badges front and rear and I really liked the look. If I would've known how easy it was to remove the front grill emblem I would've done it while at the salvage yard removing my other belongings. ae59a6ea0a6ae7fa957058aafa80fa78.jpg393067d0c86fcb68bdaa96123a0e68ca.jpg
