The OEM ones cost a bit but the aftermarket ones break so easy. Did you order chrome ones or are you gonna CM?
Completely agree. I'd rather spend more and not have to change them every year. I used the OEM on my 07 and rarely had to change them in my 10 years of ownership so I'm sticking with it :)

And I'm sticking with the chrome. Looks better to me with the other LTZ chrome and WDT is SO hard to match 100% and if they didn't completely match that'd drive my OCD crazy. I'm not over the top OCD about most things but that is something that'd drive me completely crazy LOL

I'd leave it deactivated. My reasoning is that the lifters are held rigid by a pin that is retracted when AFM activates. If the pin never moves, the lifter can't collapse uncommanded unless a part physically breaks. If you turn on AFM, the pins may retract but not return to the "locked" position, leading to failure.

Sounds like sound logic to me.
No point in risking it from getting stuck... :D

I also picked up the deflector for the pressure release valve, and while i was there i bought a new pressure release valve.
I wouldn't doubt if the silly thing was stuck open or something.

I ordered a new pan gasket for good measure.
I'm sure i can use the one i bought on Friday, but it's worth the $50 to not take a chance of having to do it again.
Saving a good $15 between the cooler gasket and the pan gasket if i wait until Thursday.
