Those don’t have brass like the Smith Bros kit I used so that’s not it. The ones without needle bearings are the preferred type of upgrade to the trunions. As you complete each one, I check to see if they’re moving freely and don’t have and any slack. You can adjust them a bit if you get them too tight.

Yeah, I watched a couple of videos on it. Hell, if I have to go to all that trouble, I may just replace the whole units. They leak and need polishing as it is.

Discovered it is possible to program a new remote from the DIC in a 2013.
it is not possible to do the same in a 2011.

Yeh that was a bit of a slap in the face after buying two new FOBs. Plus the stealership had to program a relearn after replacing the TB. Both items I should have been able to do with the Autel scan tool I own.

I swear my 2011 had the "Remote Learn" option in the DIC, but my 2012 does not

I’ve been driving a 2020 Denali for the past week, and while there are some nice features on this hearse, I prefer the feel of my 2011 over this one.
I recent read that GM isn’t planning on changing much of anything on the 2022 model so maybe the next wave will come with the 23’ rollout? However, I have a thing against buying a brand new vehicle off the lot that could potentially have gambit of bugs still needing to be worked out, tweaked, hit with a hammer, cursed at and possibly GM bulletin’d.

I had remembered seeing it then got into thecopcar, and nada. I thought if thecopcar doesn't have it, no way theothertwin would. But there it was.
Now for my tech2 to arrive so i can enable the remote start function.

A locksmith can also program the fob, for about half the price of a dealer.
