Reminds me of my Silverado with it’s too quiet exhaust and the cam makes it lope hard. It just doesn’t seem right. Damn truck rocks a bit from the lope but it sounds weird.

Yes! Your brain gets programmed to hearing the "chug chug chug" that is perfectly timed with the shakes. Now the "chug" part is gone and I'm left with just the shake.

I'm also interested in what tool you used, I'm going to be doing this soon. I was looking at this one, but any advice would be appreciated.

LMAOP.......that's the same one I started with and was horrible

Get this one and you'll be golden!

You will also need this to

I had my air compressor set to 90 psi and was good to go. Once you pull all of your rockers give the retainers a nice bump with a non-metallic deadblow

@1BADI5 did you get those last valve springs installed yet? Hoping things went well the second time around.

Yup got them in, finished the job on Saturday............damn its nice to go beyond 5000rpm now.

Intake valve spring on #2 was broken (primary spring)
Exhaust valve spring on #4 was broken (secondary spring)
Intake valve spring on #8 was broken/collapsed (primary spring)

I was no shit maybe 2 minutes of engine run time before the #8 intake valve would have dropped. So gents........listen to your gut.

I will get some pictures up later.

No shit, after I got done I bought some Mega Millions and Powerball ticket.......glad to see we all think alike.

The PAC springs were new with the cylinder heads I bought for the build. I sent the pictures to the guy I bought the heads from........we had an adult conversation and he covered the cost of my new BTR spring set.....so I was happy.

Sucks I had to do it, but way better then what could have happened. I knew something was not right and went with my gut......so glad I did.

So yeah, Luck with sprinkles of experience
