carbon fiber is best but there noisy and tons of dust
Dust used to be a concern for me but not anymore since I got my SS. Car stops amazing with the OEM pads and creates a shit ton of dust. I’m over it.

do you have those type of pads on your truck?

So I’ll be making an order soon with rock auto and looking for motor mounts and pads and I’ll prolly end up getting the same wheel hub as the other side but from there not the store.

I need an excellent stopping pad and don’t want ceramic. I don’t care about brake dust. I’d rather stop and not have fade. No power stop suggestions. Had my fair share over the years. No more. I will also be towing with it so there that.

also need a cv boot. Axle is fine but need to replace the boot it’s torn. Is there one that’s better than the rest?

Can you mix the h2 and stock MM? I only want to change the one I also don’t want to spend 200 on a single OEM MM.

Looks like I will also need to do all the PS hoses and cooler. Any suggestions for that? Might even need the pump. Fluid smells a bit burnt and is slowly leaking. Cooler looks like it’s ready to turn to dust.

I'm going to go back with the Genuine GM rotors when I replace them next time. Those seemed to hold up the best. Pads, I'm not sure.

I replaced a CV boot one time. Just used whatever rock auto had at the time. I don't think it matters

Power steering components are as follows (Thanks to @kbuskill )

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0026M9AL0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 just measure your factory hose and cut to length. Move loom over to new hose as well (Replaces GATES 352181)

https://www.amazon.com/Gates-352182-Power-Steering-Hose/dp/B00QKWZPSY pressure hose

https://www.amazon.com/Gates-352183-Power-Steering-Assembly/dp/B00FYF4YE4 return hose

I ordered pressure and return hose from Rock Auto, the cut to length from amazon (Cheaper that way)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049Z6VDM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I bought this pump from amazon

As far as mixing mounts, I don't see what it would hurt.

https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-2584...s=25847739&qid=1618238176&s=automotive&sr=1-1 you'll need two of these if you replace them both. They are the H3 passenger side mount. I also ordered those form rock auto

just open waze on your phone it has a built in gps, set cruze and compare it your speedometer.

That's one I haven't tried. I'll give it a shot. Knowing my luck, the three other apps I tried all used the exact same algorithms that may have been flawed. Or maybe it's my phone that's flawed. Or the cellular network in my area.

Altered gearing and tire size will throw off a speedometer exponentially. The odd thing is that these cellular GPS apps were consistently 1.5-2 MPH regardless of speed.

Word. After a poor experience with cryo-tempered PowerStops, I had my GM rotors resurfaced and they're still smooth as buttah to this day. I could have better pads (Basic GM something- Amazon deal). But, I don't feel endangered with them and I'm not [officially] autocrossing my Tahoe.

I used them briefly for a few months, they make a lot of dust and squeak like hell but they do stop you. Now I am using the new Duralast elite copper-free ceramic, they work quite well, no dust at all, silent, once those wear down I have set of the Baer eradi-speed 15" rotors to put on with a new set of the copper free pads, I just can't bring myself to spend $4k or more on brake upgrades I'll just push my foot harder lol

As others (including myself) have repeatedly stated, the solid mount's original use was as a PS motor mount on a Hummer H3. The GM part number is 25847739. This same part number will fit both sides. I bought two, and a trans mount, with the intention of replacing them all. But I've only replaced the DS so far (original was ripped almost in half).

Things may have changed. But when I tried to get the parts, they were on national backorder. I had to go through three places to get them ordered. I finally found an online dealer that got them to me. But I had to lie and give them a VIN from an H3 before they'd take the order.

Replacing the DS mount took me about 2 hours. You can find details on the swap elsewhere in this thread, when I did it not long ago. The PS looks to be quite a bit more challenging.

The solid mount does transmit more vibration at idle. It's noticeable on my truck. But I don't know if that's normal, or indicative of some maintenance I need to do. I'm working through that process now. Even if it turns out to be inevitable, I'll take it to avoid replacing the mount again.

Thought it was h2 mounts not h3.

I thought my post earlier would have cleared up the confusion... where I said...
Just to clear up confusion.

The mounts that fit our trucks are for the passenger side of the Hummer H3 Alpha, which came with the 5.3l. You will need two passenger side mounts to replace both mounts in our rigs.

And they work beautifully I might add.

I guess perhaps my message wasn't clear...o_O:D
