Any suggestions on an easy way to clean the oil drain holes without using a bunch of solvent and having to drain the oil pan again? I have the valve covers off and want to make sure the drain holes are clear before putting the covers back on. There seemed to be a bit more oil than I would have expected to see.

*RH Valve cover and gasket replacement along with a new engine oil fill tube, since somebody thought the entire fill tube gets pulled out instead of just the fill cap. It’s not worth having friends try to “help”. Even smart people occasionally do dumb costly $h!t.

Drain holes in the heads? They're rather large. If they're gunked up enough to cause oil draining problems, then your engine has serious problems. I think I'm misunderstanding your question, though.

Just did both sides, upper and lower control arms, glad I did replace them. Passenger side upper ball joint was nearing its life expectancy, so was the lower on the drivers side. However after doing all the arms and tie rods getting an alignment do I find out that the half shaft on the passenger side starts clunking around. NOTE: if your going in and doing A… B & C for the sake of argument should be looked at and or replaced as well.

However, it started with wanting to lower the front end of the truck along with the drop springs and shock relocators on the rear that I’ve had for a while.
Let me just say Belltech I’ve used before,
On my pickemuptruk but…. When they tell u need to trim the threads on both the upper and lower control arm ball joints… well it should of set of a red flag for me.

Once u trim the UCA nut there isn’t a way to loosen/ remove in the future or tighten if you need to even with the supplied lock washer start washer.

Those items are going back. Umm Summit return please.

And i got my ass flattened by some stomach flu thing, on my way back on my feet today.
Felt pretty good until i started working on the truck. :jester:

Finally installed the wideband O2, about to flash a tune in order to start logging and to see if my config file works...
