Still stock, decided against the leveling strut spacers due to our medical issues.

Understood. Still, the aerodynamics are much improved when lowered so that shows how good you're doing and exemplifying the effectiveness of primo maintenance and a good tune.

So when you guys talk about the mpg you're getting, are you just bringing up the instant economy screen on the DIC (the one that pretty much constantly fluctuates from like 5 to 100 depending on if you're accelerating or coasting) and just taking the reading while cruising at a certain speed, or resetting the average economy and waiting a few miles for it to settle down?

I've only reset that once on mine. Right after I got it almost 4 years ago (it said 14.2). It currently, and has been for the past couple years, reading 12.something.

When I reset it, it read pretty high at first, actually for a couple days, up near 20 and the upper teens. Then eventually settle down lower in the 14-16 range, then after a few more days and driving mostly around town goes to the 12-13 range.
I don’t even bother reading that on my trucks since 90% of my driving isn’t on the freeway so it’s pointless. To me, the only MPG that matters is when I calculate it at fill up, mileage driven divided by gallons. And I quit even looking at that long ago, I’ll just say it’s bad.

When I mention it, it's from watching the Instant MPG gauge while cruising. To determine my highway MPG, I'll average a stretch of uninterrupted cruising of anywhere from a couple of miles to a few dozen miles, depending on interruptions. I rarely drive enough distance on the highway to make resetting and watching the Average MPG gauge an accurate measurement. I did this for my last trip to and from Tampa back in 2020 so I could get the average MPG for the whole trip.

I live about 15 miles from the interstate down a straight 4-lane highway with a 65 MPH speed limit. From where I get on to where I'd turn to go to I-10 is a straight and flat 5-mile stretch with no stops and usually no traffic that affects speed. That's my "test strip". I'll get on that 65 MPH highway, set the cruise on 70 and watch the instant MPG over a few miles to gauge how it's running and/or to know if the gas I just got is crappy, etc. The MPG through town, with the time sitting at traffic lights, creeping through traffic, stop-and-go, etc. is useless info to me. It's gonna be bad no matter what due to the many outside variables.

Other than for road trips, I don't fill up and I don't put in X amount of gallons. I'll put in about what I need for that day's errand(s) and stop at the nearest dollar amount in multiples of five. If I want $20.00 and go over to $20.01, I'm trying for $25.00 next. Anyway, my point is that I can't really hand calculate the average MPG this way. I have before, many times, and it was always really close to what the gauge displayed.

I'll have to try that sometime once I find a flat streach of highway around here. Most are slightly unlevel or are hilly. Find a decent few miles and set the cruise and watch instant economy.

Today I enjoyed the fruits of our labor, trouble free, smooth as Cadillac driving!

Burning Chevron 93, fixed the intake and throttle body leaks, riding on Michelin Defenders, she's getting 21+ MPG @ 70 depending on the wind, sometimes 23-24 @ 65 mph! It's never been this good!
I just returned from a fishing trip to North Carolina. One year of ownership and just over 20,000 miles (I am at 115,250 now). Gas mileage was excellent. In Feb I got 15.1 DIC/16.8 Actual over 448 miles trying to keep between 75 and 80. This time I got 19.3 DIC/19.7 Actual over 958 miles trying to keep between 70 and 75 (there was more traffic). Over a 308 mile stretch I got 21.1 DIC /21.3 Actual. I did recently change the MAF and O2 sensors. I have the Diablo tow tune and on the trip down it was Costco 93 Octane. Trip back it was Sheetz 93 Octane. I actually made it all the way back on one tank, but I was on fumes since I drove around Hickory too.
On Tuesday I caught the biggest fresh water fish I ever caught in my life, then broke my own record on Wednesday!

I got time to change out the PIAAs for Philips bulbs in my headlights this morning. Got my time down to under an hour, lol. Based on recommendations from you guys and the comparison site, these looked like a good option with decent life. So they will hopefully last a few years.

Neat, I was wondering what it looked like w/o the bumper cover.
I also see that the mounts I selected for my new transmission cooler isn't tied directly to the bumper cover. :jester:

Got new parts to finalize my transmission cooler circuit.
Working to get that junction working today hopefully, then I can finally reinstall my grill. :jester:

Then I need to see if I can resolve the exhaust leak created by me.
Right between the rear cat and the muffler.
Either that banjo/flex connection is leaking, or I didn't get it sealed properly with the new oem band clamp.

I do both and reset at every fill up. However, I did not on the last refueling and while it reads 17.2 mpg, the Torque Pro app shows this tank of gas at 17.9 mpg. Apparently it has its own calculations which I'm only now discovering.

Details/pics of the fish?
