Also got one wiper done. I was able to fit a 22" blade. Looks kinda hacked, that was just me fighting the damn wiper arm and the stupid spring on it.:emotions122: Getting some paint in a few days.

What's involved in replacing rockers? Simple swap or not? Have to be run to adjust them?

It came out good enough that I won't be ripping this off. Seemed pretty easy once I figured out the right way to do it. Going to put some 20% over the back windows soon.

The previous times I've tried it I was doing it completely wrong. I never cut it out first on the outside of the window and that's the trick. Previous times I just stuck it on and it came out like crap. I think I posted this before, but I did mine just like this:

A tip on the wipers, if you can cut the flat wiper arm rod without taking the spring off, then do it. My dremel is broken and that spring was a pain in the ass to get back on. Not looking forward to the passenger wiper spring.

new 1.52 com camp rockers are in as well as the new msd dizzy. the cylinder heads new since about 15k miles still look very clean. for the rockers the difference before and after is about the same difference i got when the engine got the k&n fipk. since uprades dont add power cumulatively it is what i expected. after i get some mileage in the computer should relaern fuel system variances and i should see a tiny bit more. another $ 180 for horsies. next mod is getting the headers in. could not do this month but good chance in the first two weeks of march.

Dropped the transmission pan on Saturday. Changed the filter and put new fluid back in. Man, it had been a little too long. The pan had some nasty gunk in it, but no metal shavings or anything. Fluid looked like motor oil.

Now it's shifting firm and tight. It had been slipping a bit between 2-3.

Also changed out the thermostat that was stuck wide open. This one lets the truck get up to temp much quicker. That was a pain, because the whipple is right above the t-stat housing, and I couldn't get the stud out. Took me hours to figure out how to get that out of there without taking the whole thing apart.

how many miles on the trans?

lets take a guess on mileage before the new fluid change blows up that trans too lol

this.

I'm a believer in either never changing the fluid or (if you buy a car new) changing the fluid regularly.

I didn't flush it, just dropped the pan and drained what was in it.

Trans is original with 195k, and it shifts great now. Never had a problem with it not shifting into drive or reverse.

Still planning on having it rebuilt when it finally goes. Saving up my money for when it finally dies, but it's still going strong for now. I think part of it has to do with the trans cooler, that helps keep 'em alive.

if discolored or burnt smelling or severe service exist gm say you have to change it by just with a pan drop and filter. no flushing.
