On right turns seems as if the TC is unlocking? Does it when on a curve to the right but not coming back the other way.

bladder? think you mean the desiccant in the dryer.

discharge the system. replace drier and any lost oil. evacuate the system of any left over moisture and recharge. cheaper then having to do a compressor and complete flushing or coil cores too.

Yeah the desiccant thing. I know very little about aircon, but having to replace half the parts for one bad part seemed kinda ridiculous. So basically replace the drier as perb instructions and life is good? That seems a lot cheaper than an $800 quote.

Coasted it to the side of the freeway while it died. Currently sitting in it waiting for a tow.

Discharging, vaccuming, and recharging the system is almost always required if you do any work on the A/C. That's what makes it so expensive.

A new drier, orifice, and seals are cheap. You might as well replace them if you have to take it apart.

The guy wanted a new condenser and front and rear coils along with the drier.
