Alright...I do the same! And I try to jack it (or have it drain de-jacked) so the drain hole is angled so it's at the lowest point of pan. I always drain the oil hot so it's thinner and drains quicker. Also mixes up and re-suspends into the oil any sediment that might otherwise settle and sit on the bottom of the oil pan. Gotta get that crappy oil outta there!
Yep I did the same thing. I drove it first after letting it idle for 5 mins came back and pulled the plug and went inside. I also jacked it up under the right side frame and more oil started to come out so i went back in and waited.
I don't know how people can go to those speedy oil change places. They probably have a couple shot glasses full of nasty oil left in the engine. That may not sound bad to most people but to me being meticulous that won't fly.
