are you sure it is safe to continue? i dread to think how dirty the bearings, lifters and oil passages are. also your oil cooler is functional as well correct?

Mains are mint, rods are being replaced just because it's open, driver side lifters don't look too bad, but they're going to get changed out before it goes back together. I don't notice any build up on the oil passages in the crank and pressure was at 40lbs warm. I ran some marvel in the crank case and it looks a thousand times better than it did before.

I don't have the oil cooler hooked up at the moment, but the rad it's brand new so after a few more oil changes I'll be getting it connected

Cut the front bumper.

Since I removed a leaf from the front suspension the front end dropped about an inch, resulting in the wheels contacting the bumper while turning. 20 minutes of cutting and grinding and this is the result.

Took the 2dr to the shop yesterday. Gonna get my 35p rebuilt. Felt so weird driving it after only driving the lade for a good while. Then will put the lade in for main seal..

But not sure yet

Depends on the look you're going for imo, looks like it's in great shape though

I finished scrubbing pistons last night, getting them ready for a xylene bath and honing the cylinders tonight, once my rod bearings come in it'll be time for reassembly

Put the second set of spark plugs and wires in the truck for its 270,000 miles
Replaced the 2 lower O2 sensors got rid of my service engine light.
Oil change.
Replaced the 2nd set of ball joints on the truck(well 3rd if you count when I put the lowered control arms on)
Located the small leak in the exhaust
Fuel filter, had 120,000 miles on that.
Cleaned the K&N air cleaner.

Drove it 289 to Orlando, got 15.9 miles per gallon. A small improvement, cruising at 88 mph and really windy.

Seat of the pants it is peppy now. Got rid of rough idle and stutter it had developed.

I have a company vehicle and the wife has been driving the Tahoe. She has told me about the symptoms but as usual busy and did not think it was much of an issue. Well glad I jumped on it.

Now onto the rear hatch leaking. That has a pain in the butt.
