Completed my front hub replacement a few days ago. I used Timken hubs. It did not go easy. My bolts were so bad they needed the bolt heads chiseled off and then extracted due to rust deterioration of the bolt head. Only 2 of the total of six (Did both sides) came out clean. I had to pay to get it up on a lift because it was too involved for jack stands. I also had to pay $13 a bolt because I did not have them on hand and had to pay to have them delivered. The good news is that it fixed the problems I was having with wheel movement and the ABS sensor activating when driving low speeds. Now my truck is back to being dependable. I was going to go ahead and change my front oxygen sensors while I was at it but the rust is so bad I had to stop or risk twisting the whole bung out of the exhaust pipe. I guess 173,000 miles of road salt will complicate things. I wish I would have washed the truck more often.
Sounds like how my first set of front hubs went. I had to torch 4 off and only one came out clean.

Removed a leaf from my front spring assembly, couldn't stand the stiff ride anymore. To say removing the third overload improved ride quality would be an understatement! It rides almost as well as the stock ifs did. I'm glad I didn't wait until the weather warmed to do that.

Getting the 2door back from the alignment shop today I hope. They had it yesterday and called me whining about "whoever did the lift kit left all the bolts way loose." I let him rant for a bit and then told him I was the "dumb bastard" who left the bolts loose, that it was intentional, and that's why I had it towed to their shop to make their alignment easier. I didn't see the point of torquing down misaligned bolts. He didn't have much to say after that. I laughed and told him it was cool, just do the job right. either way I'm back in the 2 door today!

Got rid of the gay chromed rear differential cover. Got one for $5 at the junkyard and sanded it/wire brushed it clean and coated it with the bedliner crap. bolted her up and sealed in the new gear oil. Looked like shit coming out...feel bad for waiting as long as I did to do that (4 months now). Front diff is tonight.

I think I found the problem... Aside from being grungy as hell, the rings on #6 are stuck hard... Pulling them all tonight and debating on ordering a set of flat tops
