Any recommendations for my 5.3? I'm going to be deleting the resonator soon and want to just have a new muffler welded on instead of buying a catback. No worry about drone or being loud as I'm used to the longtubes and cutout on the Camaro.

Please post up part number of muffler if you know it. Thanks.

not sure of part Number but the Borla Pro XS muffler sounds the best IMO! Even better when you get rid of resonator

I have a magnaflow 12589, I like it but I still have the resonator on so cant say how loud it would be without it. Really helped vs the stock muffler.

Just pulled up a video on YouTube of that same setup, sounds pretty good, that's not your Tahoe is it? Noticed it was from Tx too.

I have 07 Yukon with5.3 and I had muffler shop put on a flomaster 44. I went to advanced and bought a stainless dual tip made by DC. Had the mufflershop cut the resonator right where the pipe comes into it. He then made a straight pipe going to rear and welded on dual tip with it exiting straight ot the back. The tip cost me about $35 and the muffler shop charged me $175 including the muffler. So for $210 total and it sounds awesome! I wish I had done it a long time ago! Good luck with whatever you go with.

I forgot to mention on my old lade I had duals out the back with two separate thrushers mufflers. It was the best sound I ever heard and confused local cops as a corvette.

I'm running a summit street and strip muffler. 3" in dual 2.5" out. It's basically a 2 chamber muffler but only 25 bucks.
