Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and want to start working on my truck.
I know that the Z55 suspension is blown and the shocks do not hold any air. The system must have been converted years ago to a passive suspension, so I do not really know what they have done to it. (resistors, no compressor, front shocks are non Z55, rear shocks are passive aftermarket)
Since I will be replacing the shocks I want to make sure everything will be correct. I know there are some scan tools that can read the suspension control module and problems on the air suspension compressor. Since I am still a student I am looking for a tool under $200.
There are a lot of scan tools out there that can read all kinds of codes, also ABS would be important since the truck sometimes shows the ABS and Brake light.
But most important would be the Suspension Control Module.
Thanks in advance and I am looking forward to getting your recommendations and experiences.
